WOW!house London 2026: My Interior Design Highlights

Last month, while holidaying in London with my family, I was thrilled that the timing aligned with WOW!house London at the Design Centre, so I made sure to set aside some time to visit. With 22 rooms created by some of the world’s leading interior designers, it was the perfect opportunity to soak up new ideas and plenty of interior design inspiration. The designers spend up to twelve months designing and planning each space but just five days to assemble them. Here are a few of the interior design trends and personal highlights that caught my eye.

Colour With Confidence

One of the strongest themes throughout WOW!house was the use of rich, layered colours to create warm and cocooning interiors. Designers moved beyond safe neutrals, embracing deep reds, burgundy tones and other rich shades to add depth and personality to their space.

Or alternatively all shades of green. From soft minerals to more vibrant verdigris tones.

Texture

Designers layered wallpaper, fabric, timber and decorative moulding to create inviting interiors. They gave plenty of thought to the “fifth wall” — the ceiling, using it as another opportunity to add character, colour and texture.

Trims & Embellishments

Fringing, tassels and embroidery details were embraced throughout the showcase, highlighting a return to craftsmanship and tradition.

Modern Craftsmanship

Traditional architecture, craftsmanship and decorative details were combined with contemporary furniture and modern functionality. This exquisite Lalique home bar featured elegant curved lines, luxurious materials and an incredible level of attention to detail.

The walls were inset with discreet storage and back-lit recesses creating an element of surprise.

Overall it was so inspiring to see classic design making such a strong return but in a contemporary way. It aligns perfectly with my own design ethos of ‘adding a fresh approach to classic design’. If you’re looking to create a home that feels considered and beautifully timeless, I’d love to help. Get in touch to start a conversation, I look forward to hearing from you.
