Surrey Hills Home III

The Brief

The brief was to help our clients design a home with a classic yet casual elegance, suitable for their family of four. They love Hamptons style and wanted their home to have some features synonymous with this aesthetic. They wanted the house to feel light and bright and function well for entertaining, with a good indoor/outdoor flow and plenty of storage.

Response

We incorporated many details into the design, sympathetic to a Hamptons style. This included panelling in the hallway, shaker profile cabinets, subway tiles and a classic grey and white palette (with splashes of colour).

Windows facing the east and north were oversized to maximise light. The floorplan encouraged an easy flow between the living area and Al Fresco for easy summer entertaining. The teenage girls have their own space upstairs while the main bedroom downstairs features a beautiful courtyard view.
