It’s finally here, meet my new homewares range! I am so excited to finally be able to share this side project that I have been working on for the past 18 months. You might have already had a sneak peek if you follow me on instagram. If not, I have created a beautiful range of bone inlay and mother of pearl products in collaboration with Joshua and Jane, now available on my new online store (here).
Why Bone Inlay?
I have loved bone inlay and mother of pearl products for many years now. It started with this navy dresser that I purchased about ten years ago. I love this piece for so many reasons….the colour, the pattern and the interest it adds to my kitchen and living area. It is timeless and beautifully handcrafted.
Over the years, I have incorporated bone inlay pieces into many of my projects. Whether it be through larger furniture pieces or styling accessories.
I approached Melbourne based company Joshua and Jane as I had followed them for a while and loved their design and product range. After chatting with the gorgeous owner Emily and learning of her commitment to sourcing premium quality and ethically sourced products, we decided to join forces and create our bespoke range. I wanted to bring in colours and patterns that would complement the interiors that I help my clients create, including products that I knew would be both practical and beautiful. Essentially bringing an interior designer look to people, without them having to engage a designer. I love that each piece is unique and hand made and will bring a personal look to your home.
The Product Range
Featuring some smaller furniture pieces and accessories, the range includes colours that are timeless and classic…. navy, grey and cream.
Mirrors
My mirror range is designed to suit multiple spaces such as powder rooms, hallways and above fireplaces.
Lamps
Over the years, I hadn’t come across many options for lamp bases in Australia made from bone inlay. I thought they would be the perfect addition to my range and something that I can definitely use in my client projects. The patterns are classic and timeless and suit a range of interior styles.
Drum Stools
These drum stools are the perfect option in a living or sitting room as a small side table. They are light enough to be easily moved around and introduce a classic stripe pattern in a grey or navy colour.
Bathroom Vanity Set
After travelling through the U.S. over the years, I noticed the vast range of bathroom vanity sets available but unfortunately could never find anything similar in Australia. Offering the perfect solution to stylish bathroom storage, this set includes a vanity tray, tissue box and square box for cotton buds/face pads. Beautiful together or on their own, each item can also be purchased individually.
Canister Boxes
In my styling jobs, I am always on the look out for interesting pieces to fill shelving or place on a mantle to bring colour and pattern to a space. These canister boxes, available in a small or large size, provide the perfect solution and are also a lovely gift.
Trays
As a styling product, trays are an essential item to bring and corral items together. I have included a range of tray sizes, including a large size to be used on coffee tables and consoles and a smaller size for jewellery and dressers.
Boxes
For hiding remote controls and storing jewellery or other keepsakes, these boxes have a functional purpose while looking pretty on a coffee table or dresser. I have included two sizes in the range, a small and a large.
Photo Frames
Always a useful piece in my styling kit, everyone loves the opportunity to display their photos and cherished memories. These frames are an elevated take on your usual photo frames, providing colour and interest on shelf or mantle.
Coasters
To finish off the collection, I wanted to include coasters in the patterns that feature in the range. Navy stripe, navy floral, grey stripe and powder blue trellis. These pieces are practical and elevate the look of a coffee or side table.
I hope you love this collection as much as I have loved creating it. I would love to hear your thoughts, feedback and any favourite pieces.
