I think pray we are on the homeward stretch now with our new build. There has been a delay with the flooring which may push our moving date by a few weeks. Building is definitely a waiting game. I liken it to a pregnancy where you know there is a reward at the end but you need to be patient. In the meantime, I am getting teased as my wallpaper orders are starting to arrive. Here is a sneak peek of some of them, there is a general colour theme going on (not surprising!).
Our furniture has been in storage for the past 14 months. It is fair to say that I have forgotten what we have and I need to look back at photos to remind myself. I will be excited to see my bone inlay dresser again. It always looked out of place in our 1980s home. I have had a nook in my new living area designed especially to accommodate it.
Friday’s Favourites this week continues the blue theme. I love the use of dark blue grasscloth in this bedroom. The canopy bed draws the eye upward to highlight the soaring ceiling. The natural light and white soft furnishings keep the room airy and bright.
I don’t see too many oval shaped dining tables these days but this one works to break up the lines in this open plan kitchen/dining. The wishbone chairs are the perfect accompaniment.
This classic Butler’s pantry features an abundance of storage. By using an all-white palette, pops of colour can be introduced through accessories.
Finally a bit of shelfie inspiration (and library lights!). The colour blue has been repeated, with quirky accessories adding some interest.
Have a lovely weekend.
