I hope all the mums had a wonderful day last Sunday. My Mother’s Day gift came in the form of some fabric (chosen by me!). I saw this Serena and Lily Spade fabric below on sale on their U.S. website. It was reduced from $50/yard to $8/yard! Not one to turn a blind eye for such a bargain, but also envisaging some roman blinds for our kitchen, I ordered 10 yards. Thankfully Mr Gallerie B (who is now getting used to my crazy U.S. purchases) was in New York on business last week. He brought the 1.4m bolt of fabric back with him on the plane! Unfortunately the fabric did not turn up at Melbourne airport. It was eventually found, having fallen off the luggage conveyer belt, and delivered to us the next day. It was a risk but thank goodness the colour will work in my kitchen scheme.
Moving on to my Friday’s Favourites for the week. I can’t imagine ever having a Master Bedroom large enough for a sofa or two but I always admire those that do.
This is the latest project by Studio McGee. It features one of my favourite coffee table styles. The adjacent kitchen has an unexpected dark cabinetry but is kept light by an abundance of natural light and white paint on the walls.
This is the view of the opposite wall. The styling on the shelves is simple but interesting.

The first thing that caught my eye in this classic kitchen is the coffee machine/microwave station. I love that it can be closed off but is also easily accessible once the doors are open. The view through to the butler’s pantry is also intriguing. I would love to see more.
Have a lovely weekend.
