Here is a sneak peek of our house update this week. The exterior of the first floor is complete and scaffolding has been removed. No surprises that I have chosen a grey (Dulux Tranquil Retreat) for the exterior colour with white trim (Dulux Natural White). The weatherboards are starting to go up on the ground floor which is exciting. Not so exciting is having to choose exterior door hardware and locks. I had to bring in Mr Gallerie B for this one, I just can’t get excited about locks and the technicalities of dead bolts!
I am featuring one house for this week’s Friday’s Favourites. This gorgeous dining room and kitchen appeared in two of my FF’s post last year. I am excited to show you more of this beautiful Queensland home designed by Highgate House.
The exterior is a mix of timber and stone in a modern take of the Cape Cod style.
The wide and open entrance features dark flooring and white panelled walls. The sense of an elegant and classic home is immediately felt.
This angle of the dining space shows off the beautiful french doors and arched windows which allow an abundance of natural light.
Blues and greys are used in the living area which opens out to the covered Al Fresco. I love the high vaulted ceilings.
The Al Fresco is furnished beautifully with the vaulted ceiling continuing to this area.
The wall panelling continues to the Master Bedroom with a neutral geometric wallpaper above.
So much inspiration in this home!
Have a lovely weekend.
