This week I realised how speedy social media can be in connecting people. I posted this photo of a gorgeous barn that I drove past in Red Hill last weekend. It literally stopped me in my tracks (especially those doors). It has been newly built and had me guessing what it will be used for. Within half an hour of me posting the image, I received a message from it’s owner (whose friend had seen it on my IG feed) saying that it is going to be a B & B. How perfect, a little piece of the Hamptons in Red Hill! I will be watching the progress of the Red Hill Barn with great anticipation.
Starting off this week’s Friday’s Favourite with a bit of chinoiserie. There is a lot to love about this blue and white vignette, especially the bone inlay dresser. It is all styled beautifully.
There’s not much to say about this house exterior, just a sigh!
What a great way to incorporate a breakfast nook in a small space. The banquette looks custom-made to fit perfectly. The nailhead detail on the base and the silver framed prints add that little bit of luxe.
I’m sure this mudroom gets a lot of traffic but I love the fact that it still looks pretty. The colourful storage, painted blue door and rug create a warm welcome.
Have a lovely weekend.
