Well my girls have been on school holidays for a week now. Although it is much harder to juggle the work/mum balance, it is great to have a break from the regular activities, as well as a bit of a sleep in. Mr Gallerie B is in New York for work and I couldn’t resist placing another small Restoration Hardware order for the house! Fingers crossed it all fits in his case, I will let you know how he goes.
When the girls were younger, I always looked forward to our annual Tulip Festival visit. We would meet friends there and the kids loved the face painting and tractor rides. It has been a few years and it’s fair to say they were less enthused this year but the promise of Dutch pancakes won them over. Melbourne did not provide the blue sky backdrop but the display of colour was still beautiful.
For this week’s Friday’s Favourites I am featuring some of the beautiful work of Californian Interior Designer, Brooke Wagner. Her style is fresh and relaxed, with a splash of colour. I love the way she maximises the use of space in her designs. Like this light and airy living room with custom joinery.
This purpose built banquette is a great way to use the ‘void’ adjacent to the stairs. The fresh colour palette complements the light flooring and contemporary windows.
Adding interest to the hallway and maximising storage is this pretty window seat and custom joinery.
This outdoor space is on my inspiration board. I love the bluestone pavers against the adjoining grassed area.
Have a lovely weekend.
