The first week of school holidays has flown by with a welcome break from the general routine. I love this time of year and especially the extra long Easter weekend to spend with family.
My first Friday’s Favourite for the week is dedicated to the laundry. I have struggled to find many inspiring images for the humble little laundry. Function is very important and for me it’s all about storage and practicality but why can’t the laundry look luxe too? I know the appliances are absent from this laundry (they must be behind the photographer!) but I do love the joinery and colour. Not stark white but a soft grey. I personally would add a small rug in the centre, a fabric roman blind and a pretty tiled splashback but this laundry has great bones.
The kitchen image below has been on my radar for a while. I love the ‘U’ shape working zone. The banquette in the corner softens the hard finishes and provides cosy additional seating. I imagine it is a real gathering point for the owners.

This living room nook looks so inviting. The outlook to the garden and al fresco is gorgeous.
This is one of the inspirational images I gave to our landscape designer. Symmetrical planting with lots of greenery and stone pavers.
Wishing you and your families have a wonderful Easter break.
