You might have noticed the recent trend of feature floor tiles in the bathroom. I love the pattern and personality these tiles add. Darren and Dea used a black and white encaustic concrete tile in their bathroom on The Block Glasshouse. It brought interest to their bathroom which still maintained a classic feel through its joinery and hard finishes.
Feature floor tiles are typically black and white and look best against white walls and fixtures.
They can be applied to various bathroom styles. Subway wall tiles with dark grouting give an industrial edge.
When teamed with a soft neutral grey wall and period style fixtures, a more classic look is achieved.
A bold colour creates a contemporary look with lots of personality.
