Things have been really busy around here lately with some exciting projects underway. I hope you like my new website which is now complete and showcases some of my newer projects. Behind the scenes I have been working on a new venture which I can reveal soon. But for now, let’s talk Bathroom Tile Colour Inspiration. When designing bathrooms for clients, I often get asked where and how colour to use colour. I wrote a blogpost (many moons ago!) about how to add colour to a bathroom (here). The concepts remain the same and tiles are still a great way to introduce colour.
I recently popped into the Perini Tiles showroom and had a look at some of their new ranges. Colour (and texture) is everywhere and visiting a tile showroom is a feast for the eyes with so many options now available.
All shades of green and earthy tones are proving popular. Blues aren’t going anywhere, although they now come in some warmer based variations.
I recently used this beautiful black and green natural stone tile as a feature splashback wall in a teenage boy’s ensuite. We used the black tones to reference the other fittings such as the basin, toilet, tapware and mirror. For the floor tile we highlighted the green colour.
The natural colours in the tiles are really beautiful.
For this ensuite we used a textured green feature tile for the splashback, paired with a beautiful terrazzo floor tile. The warmth of the timber is a great partner to this colour palette.
The white wall tile has interest through texture and colour variation.
Blush pink tones are also a popular choice at the moment and come in many tile formats and profiles.
Here are some progress shots of a beautiful bathroom currently underway using some very pretty pinks. I can’t wait to see this one completed.
I always suggest my clients choose a colour that they personally love and that makes them happy. For this young girl’s bathroom, the client loved the duck egg blue colour so we introduced it in a feature wall of subway tiles.
This teenage girl loved yellow and grey and we had a lot of fun using this palette in her ensuite.
The timber vanity adds warmth along with the brass tapware and mirror. This is such a happy space.
And I am looking for any opportunity to use these gorgeous new concrete tiles….thinking Palm Springs vibes!
Coloured tiles can really add a ‘wow’ factor to a bathroom but the challenge lies in how to tie in all the other elements without it looking too busy. If you need help creating your dream bathroom or some more Bathroom Tile Colour Inspiration, please feel free to contact me, I would love to help.
