It is busy times at Gallerie B central with some exciting projects underway. I thought since it has been a while between posts, I would share some of the things I am working on.
I have some lovely clients who are trusting me with the design and decoration of their renovations.
Gallerie B offers a range of services which includes full new home/renovation design (with the assistance of my draftsperson) to interior decoration and anything in between.
For the Surrey Hills project, I have created a modern yet sophisticated renovation design for a family of five. I have specified some gorgeous hard finishes and am loving the opportunity to use these penny round tiles and black tapware.
For my Kew renovation I have been engaged to assist with selecting the finishes and soft furnishings for a classic/contemporary family home. We have chosen timeless natural products for the flooring and bench tops and are working on blue, white and natural palette for the living areas.
You may remember me post about our little fibro beachhouse in the past? Well, it’s getting its own little makeover as we speak. The single bathroom was proving challenging for a family of 3 females, let alone if we had guests staying. I re-designed this small and unusable bedroom (that we nicknamed ‘the dungeon’) into an additional bathroom.
The very basic/retro existing bathroom/laundry is getting a revamp, wait for the before photos……
Yes, it has all the basics but the green and brown just isn’t really doing it for me.
I have tried to update the kitchen with some coastal styling (see my blogpost here).
But unfortunately the appliances are wearing out and the space needs an update.
The plan was to push the rear wall out slightly to add a bit more space. But of course being an old house it hasn’t been so simple and we have come across some structural issues. Apart from it being asbestos central, the roof was deemed unstable. We have had to replace half of it but this has meant we can now have a raked ceiling (yay!).
And here is the scheme for this open plan kitchen/dining/living room. I am going for a modern farmhouse meets coastal look.
Finally, I am taking a short break over the school holidays. We are heading to the U.S. to visit some friends. Fingers crossed for some sun and much needed Vitamin D!
