I have been a fan of Cristina Re paper products for some time now. I spent many hours poring over her beautiful range of papers with mix and match patterns and embellishments (in my scrapbooking days!). Cristina has recently relaunched her High Tea experience in the refurbished store. I invited my mum for a surprise High Tea for Mother’s Day.
The Store:
Upon entering you are transported from industrial Collingwood streets to a delightful bright and feminine space. The interior has a shabby chic/vintage feel with attention paid to pretty details. Butterflies are interspersed with cleverly made paper flowers and other works of art made from paper.
The centrepiece of the room is this pastel pink chandelier adorned with vintage teacups.
Gilded mirrors are accompanied with fashion illustrations. I love the mini chandelier sconce.
The sitting area features some intricate paper flowers and more gold accents.
Cristina Re products are displayed and available to purchase alongside decorative vintage pieces such as this cash register.
Some of the gorgeous pastel colours in the Signature Tea Cup range.
Mum’s chair was covered in a pretty toile fabric.
The High Tea:
Now for the highlight…… the High Tea itself. There are six different High Tea experiences, I chose the La Dolce Vita package. The tea and coffee were served in the Signature Tea Range. My Friday’s Favourites Pink and Gold also featured prominently on the table setting.
Mum co-ordinated perfectly in the background with her cup and saucer!
The food was very indulgent and delicious. I didn’t know where to start, so went with a scone first, then to savoury and back to sweet.
The pastel coloured macarons, petit fours and cupcakes were incredible.
Needless to say I rolled out of the store by the end, feeling very content!
The Signature High Tea experiences are held on Friday and Saturdays and need to be booked in advance. Cristina Re is also having a 20% off online products this week until Monday July 7. Just enter the code NFYS15 at www.cristinare.com.
