I have heard so much about the new Country Road Sorrento store. Last weekend I finally got the opportunity to check it out. It has taken over the historic post office building in the main street of Sorrento. This is the first of their new complete lifestyle stores. I love the fusion of fashion for men,women and children, homewares and the inclusion of the cafe, Post 3943, which is hosted by local ‘The Sisters’.
The entire store is a mix of old and new and has a ‘homely’ feel in its decor and design. The cafe has an open working kitchen which features open shelves against a white tiled splashback, displaying ceramics and fiddle leaf figs. I love the original windows too which allow plenty of natural light.
The Country Road homeware products are in full use.
The cafe has an outdoor terrace with adjacent herb garden. The original textured brickwork has been exposed.
Greenery is dotted around the store adding to the homely feel.
The store is divided into different rooms. This is the childrenswear section complete with original fireplace and ceilings.
A lot of attention has been paid to the visual merchandising details.
The large metal framed windows allow natural light and provide a lovely garden aspect from inside the store.
The adjacent sandstone building is a beautiful backdrop for the garden.
I love the shopping experience Country Road have created and I hope more ‘resort’ stores are on the way!
