Here is a brief update on the house progress. The frame is up and the roof and guttering installed on the top floor. This photo was taken by the builder this week. I am really happy with how my American shingle roof is looking. After seeing this view though, I am disappointed we didn’t include a rooftop bar in the plans! We didn’t think we would be able to get much of a city view. The old 1980s house was positioned much further to the left of the block and had a low flat roof, so it was difficult to gauge. Miss 7 will get some of this view from her bedroom window at the front.
This is my final Friday’s Favourites for the year, so I thought I would share my Top 5 most liked Instagram images. I must say that I agree with everyone, these are also some of my favourites.
This home office is a beauty. I love how the grasscloth continues behind the shelving, the gold sconces and soft colour palette. The blue and white ceramics add some interest.
This entrance was featured on my 5 Tips For Styling an Entry post. The relaxed coastal style and pop of orange against the blue and white creates a warm welcome.
This incredible entrance confirms that a white palette is both classic and beautiful. I love the detail in the molding

This kitchen has provided much inspiration for my own kitchen design. Traditional joinery, marble benchtop, beautiful pendants and subway tiles. The bistro barstools are a great addition too.
This final image has so many of my favourite elements. The soft grey kitchen joinery on the island bench is beautiful. I love the windows and round dining table too.
Thanks so much for sharing your Friday’s with me. Looking forward to sharing many more inspiring images for next year’s Friday’s Favourites!
