Welcome to Gallerie B’s first blogpost for 2018! It has been a while between posts but there has been a lot of exciting things happening in the past couple of months.
My biggest news is that the Home Beautiful magazine feature of my home has finally been published in the current March edition. A huge thank you to everyone for their kind words and response to the article.
I have had to be patient, as the photoshoot happened last March. The incredible duo of stylist Julia Green from Greenhouse Interiors and photographer Armelle Habib spent the entire day arranging flowers, moving furniture, opening and closing windows, making and re-making beds to capture the perfect shot.
It seemed there were no lengths they wouldn’t take to get it!
By the end of the day, there were 46 images that were presented to Home Beautiful but not all of them were featured.
I thought I would share the ones that didn’t make the cut.
Sitting Room:
The other view featuring the cocktail cabinet, custom armchairs and ottoman.
A closer detail of the mantel and wallpaper, yes it is vinyl!
Study:
This is where I run my Interiors business. There is a lot of blue and grey in the house so I used the opportunity to introduce a green grasscloth wallpaper. It still works with the general tones of the house and is a colour that I have always loved.
Hallway:
This is the view from the front door. I can’t believe how obedient our dog Harry was, Julia had him under her spell!
Kitchen:
This is a different angle showing the Roman Blind. I love including soft furnishings in a space that typically features hard finishes.
Kitchen detail close up.
I designed this nook in the floor plans to accommodate the bone inlay dresser.
Miss 10’s Bedroom:
Her request was for a “mint and raspberry” coloured room. The walls are painted a soft mint green and offset with deep pink furnishings (including one of my favourite things, her leopard print bedhead).
The Girls’ Bathroom:
This space was decorated with these bone inlay mirrors in mind.
Outdoor Space:
The weather was actually terrible, cloudy and raining! Armelle worked her magic with some editing and the pool actually looks inviting.
And for those who haven’t seen it, here is the spread.
I have also had a slight re-branding to Gallerie B Interiors and website update. Check it out if you get a chance (Gallerie B Interiors). If you would like to receive further blogposts featuring what I am working on and Interior Design and Decorating tips you can subscribe (here).
Thanks again for your support.
