Canterbury Home II

The Brief

With plans in place for a large renovation, our clients approached Gallerie B Interiors to assist them in selecting all the finishes, materials and colours for their new home. They were keen to be faithful to the original Art Deco style of the home but bring in some classic Hamptons inspired elements and maintain a cool and classic colour palette.

Response

We worked closely alongside our client, at each step of the renovation process. We initially reviewed the joinery plans to ensure that the layout and storage was suitable for this family of four. We then assisted them in selecting all the hard finishes, including joinery profiles and colours, bench tops, tiles, timber flooring and carpet. The grand proportions of the home meant that feature lighting needed to be to scale and in keeping with the overall aesthetic.

The colour palette we proposed was kept neutral with pops of greys and blues, colours our client loves. The large scale of the windows required bespoke window coverings to complement the steel windows and doors. To complete the project we assisted our client in sourcing soft furnishings including rugs, custom seating and reupholstering some of their existing furnishing pieces. We are thrilled with the outcome of this beautiful family home.
